Today, Trump was inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States.
The ceremonies were meh. Everyone knew what was going to happen ahead of time – who was going to pray, who was going to read Scripture, who was going to sing and play music.
The real attraction was Trump’s inaugural address. America was eager to hear the vision Trump would offer for our nation. When Marco Rubio first announced his candidacy, I refused to support him. I felt that he lacked administrative experience and was not ready to lead the United States. I chose to support Scott Walker instead.
However, I have been convinced that I was wrong. When Walker dropped out of the race, I switched my support to Rubio. Rubio is experienced, equipped, and ready to take on the Democratic nominee and serve with distinction as the next president of America.
To all my friends who are old enough to vote – I urge you to take a second look at Rubio as well. I beg you to learn the truth about him, as well as the other candidates that will be on your ballot. I hope and pray that you will make an informed, logical decision based on the facts, not rhetoric or sound bites.
